Freshman studying Nursing

"Theta means strength. I have the most amazing group of girls who are my constant support system. My first year would not have gone as smoothly if it weren't for them!" - Christine
"Christine always puts a smile on everyone’s face. Whenever I need someone to cheer me up I can always count on her!" - Secret Sister
1. What are you looking forward to this year?
There's so much coming up that I'm so excited for, but I definitely have to say I am most looking forward to living on the hall with my best friends. I just know it's going to be a blast every day! I'm also pretty pumped about recruitment. Something about hanging out with all my sisters for a week and finding the next member class (and my future little) makes me so excited!
2. How did you decide what to study at Auburn?
I had no idea what I wanted to do. And if you asked me in high school, my major changed every other week. After a summer of volunteering at a hospital, I found I had a passion for helping others and an interest in a medical field. One day I was thinking about being a nurse and knew it was the perfect fit. Getting over my fear of needles was a small obstacle if it meant I got to help people for the rest of my life!
3. What else have you been involved with on campus?
I'm a member of Emerge, which is a freshman leadership program, and I am currently Theta’s executive assistant. It has given me the opportunity to become more involved in the sorority and grow closer with my sisters! I will also be a MEA in the fall, so I cannot wait to meet and help the new members!
