"To me, Theta means always having a group of girls who you can be genuine and open with. Over the past year and and a half, I've become so much more confident in myself and Theta has played a big part in that. It has given me a group of girls who will always support me and push me to be the best version of myself."
- Emily Forrester
About Emily (from her Secret Sister):
"Emily is incredibly hardworking, while maintaining a humble character. She is very passionate about her major, interior design; she has such big dreams and aspirations, which I admire her for. She is exceptionally creative, always designing spectacular artwork. Emily's love for Jesus is so evident in her life; she is radically loving to everyone she meets, which is such an incredible display of Christ's love for us. Everyone should have a friend like Emily, she always makes my day a little brighter with her radiating laughter."
1. What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
I love painting or reading in my spare time. Most of the time you can catch me sketching in a coffee shop between classes.
2. How do you express your creativity?
Being an Interior Design major has allowed me to grow so much in my creativity. Ultimately, my goal is to design spaces that tell a story and have meaning without sacrificing functionality. I want to make people think when they walk into a space. To experience the space rather than just exist in it. When I’m not working on design, I love watercolor or oil painting
3. What is the last thing you've done that you are proud of?
Currently, my class is collaborating to designing a space in Opelika honoring Sergeant Major Bennie Adkins, a medal of honor recipient who fought in the Vietnam War. It is such an incredible opportunity to design for him, and I couldn’t be more proud or excited to see the finished design installed.
4. What is your go-to road trip album?
Anything album by Need to Breathe or David Nail!
